One on One Online sessions

Personalised training support for you and your dog, wherever you are

Format: Online handouts and videos

Is this the right fit for you?

One-on-one sessions are for anyone who wants support that is built entirely around their dog, their situation, and their goals. There is no set curriculum, no keeping pace with a group, and no waiting for the content that matters to you to arrive. Every session is yours.

This works well if you have a specific challenge you want to work through, if you have tried group training and want something more tailored, or if you simply prefer a direct conversation with someone who can look at your dog and tell you honestly what they see.

What we can work on

  • Reactivity and over-arousal

  • Recall and lead manners

  • Jumping, mouthing, and household manners

  • Anxiety and confidence issues

  • Adolescent dog challenges

  • Sport dog training and arousal management

  • Puppy development and early foundations

  • Anything else that is making daily life harder than it needs to be

How it works

Sessions are held via video call (Zoom or similar). Before your session, I will ask you to fill in a short intake form so I understand your dog's history and what you most want to work on.

During the session we will talk through what is happening, watch your dog if you have them with you, and work out a practical plan together. You will leave with clear, specific things to do, not vague advice.

You can also submit a short video of your dog before the session if there is something specific you want me to see.

After your session

You will receive a written summary of what we covered and the steps we agreed on. If questions come up as you work through things, you are welcome to send a follow-up message.

This is a good option if...

Your dog has a specific behaviour you want to address directly

You want to see progress faster than a group course allows

You are working through something and want an expert eye on it

You are outside New Zealand and want personalised support

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need for an online session?

A: A device with a camera and stable internet connection, and a space where your dog can be with you if needed. That is it. Many sessions work just fine with you on your laptop at the kitchen table or using your phone.

Q: Do I need to have my dog present during the session?

A: It depends on what we are working on. For behaviour consultations it helps to be able to see your dog, but it is not always essential. When you book, let me know what you want to work on and I will advise.

Q: Can I submit a video of my dog before the session?

A: Yes, and I encourage it. If there is something specific you want me to see, send a short clip beforehand and I can look at it properly before we talk. This often makes the session more efficient.

Q: Do sessions work for puppies?

A: Absolutely. Early support is one of the best investments you can make in your dog's future. If you have a young pup and want to get things started right, a one-on-one session is a great place to begin.

Q: How do I book?

A: Send me a message directly. Once your session is confirmed you will receive the intake form and joining link.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

A: Life happens. Please give me as much notice as possible, ideally 24 hours. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged at the full rate depending on circumstances.

Q: Can I book a series of sessions?

A: Yes. In many cases more than one session is needed to help you with the tools you need. If you want to work through something over several weeks, we can plan a series and I will note where we are up to between sessions so we are not starting from scratch each time.
