Introduction to a range of socialisation games
Introduction to self control, walking on lead, being calm
As well as help with all the typical puppy issues- tolieting, biting, running away, chewing, jumping up 
A few fun tricks and cresting a pup who wants to do things with you.

Classes are six weeks long, held close to Otane CHB. Family members are welcome. Evening and day classes depending on the time of the year

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

1. What age can my puppy start training classes?
Most puppies can start as early as 8–10 weeks and the classes are suitable for most puppies up to six months of age

2. Does my puppy need to be fully vaccinated before attending?
Puppies usually need at least their first vaccination

3. How old is “too old” for puppy classes?
The class is suitable for most puppies up to six months old. Please contact me to discuss your puppies needs..

4. What will my puppy learn in class?
The class is based on introducing your puppy to behaviours like walking on lead, come and calmness. It is about developing a strong relationship with your pup based on fun and mutual respect. We work on issues any puppy is having - biting, tolieting etc. Plus we teach you how to teach your puppy a few fun tricks 

5. Will the classes help with common puppy problems (biting, jumping, chewing, toilet training)?
Yes—time is always available to work through each puppies issues. 

6. Do puppies get to play together?
This depends on the puppies - more time is spent teaching puppies not to practise behaviours like rushing other dogs

7. How long is each class and how many sessions are included?
Typically 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks.

8. What should I bring to class?
A flat collar or harness, lead, plenty of small tasty treats, a mat or towel, a toy and a chair for you.

9. How many puppies are in a class?
Class sizes are kept small (often 2-4 puppies) to ensure individual attention.

10. Can the whole family attend?
Yes definitely —all family members are encouraged to come  including children.

11. What training methods do you use?
Positive reinforcement—rewarding good behaviour with treats, toys, and praise. No harsh corrections or punishment. Plus lots of fun games so that learning is fun for both of you

12. Will I need to practice at home?
Yes! The more you practice short, fun sessions at home, the aster your puppy will learn.

  1. What if my puppy is shy, nervous, or overlyexcitable. These things are all quite normal and most puppies fall into one of these groups. Classes are designed to build confidence and teach calm behaviour in a supportive fun environment.

14. What happens after puppy class?
Most trainers offer follow-on classes (like junior or foundation obedience) to keep your dog progressing.

15. Will one course be enough to fully train my puppy?
Puppy class gives your dog the best start, but training is an ongoing process throughout their life.
